Claire Reneé is more than a musician—she’s an immersive journey. With a foundation in classical dance, Claire’s musical expression transcends genres, effortlessly blending R&B, soul, jazz, and pop, all while drawing inspiration from her hip-hop influences. Her voice is raspy yet graceful, creating a tapestry of sound that resonates with profound emotion, complemented by her distinctive harmonies that never fail to evoke a mesmerizing atmosphere.
Dancing her way into the spotlight from the tender age of 4, Claire’s path was paved with dedication and nurtured by prestigious institutions like The Dance Theater of Harlem and Alvin Ailey. Claire’s evolution has been nothing short of remarkable. This duality of dance and music found its zenith during her time in High School at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan. Her talent later led her to prestigious music programs at both Berklee College of Music and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, crowning her as a multifaceted gem in the music realm.
Claire’s new creative chapter is marked by her latest EP, “Journal Entries 1-4”. The EP delves into humanness, offering a distinctive perspective shaped by her unconventional journey. Lead singles “Sadder Days” and “Waste My Time” offer a glimpse into its emotional depth and lyrical prowess. Each song encourages introspection by revisiting personal records like journals, revealing different versions of ourselves and our present. Claire’s jazz influences and intention to play with her R&B sound create a unique and captivating sound on this project.
